Snow Day

A snow day is always a chance to find the time that you would not normally find for a project. I often bake myself into oblivion, as all the sewing machines live at the Barn.  This snow day finds me at home on a Sunday, where I might be anyway... day off, On Board Fabrics is closed on Sundays.

The snow is falling thickly and in silence, piling up on the branches and bushes it has added a layer like pure white bleached cotton batting on all surfaces.

The silence affords me the opportunity to think about future marketing strategies without the constant interruptions of customer's needs, fabric ordering and receiving, phone answering and more. A trunk show  in Westwood Massachusetts and early Spring classes are the next big thing.  A BLOG, I think, might be the best way to communicate what's up and coming at On Board Fabrics.  I Google "How to create a Blog" and low and behold Google either seems to know I exist already, complete with a picture from the website, or I did this once before and then forgot. Either is possible,

So, this is how I find myself on this silent snow day, awkwardly trying to get through the very first post, searching for my voice. The chicken photo, you wonder... you'll have to wait for another post before I get to chicken stories, but I promise, there will be chicken talk.
